If you learn nothing else about Montgomery Cricket Club, you might bear in mind three key things.
First that the Club is celebrating its 175th anniversary (yes, 175 years!) this year. Second, that the Club is based in what must be one of the most beautiful cricket grounds in the world, at Lymore, just outside Montgomery town centre. And last, but certainly not least, the Club is famed for its cricket teas.
Monty Lit Fest is delighted that we’ll be bringing all three together for a very special festival session this year. On Sunday 12th June at 4.30pm, the Club will be hosting our Literary Cricket Tea, when we’ll hear from authors and amateur cricketers, Marcus Berkmann and Roger Morgan-Grenville in a fun, anecdote-packed session that promises tall tales that will resonate with club members and armchair cricket fans alike.
And one of those legendary teas will be served by Montgomery Cricket Club in return for a donation to their funds.
Don’t miss out on a summer Sunday afternoon filled with cricket, books and tea: a winning combination, if ever there was one.
