Venues and accessibility

The Festival is centred around Montgomery Town Hall (Broad Street, SY15 6PH; https://www.montgomerytownhall.uk/), together with a range of other venues throughout the town, including Montgomery Activity Centre (Church Bank, SY15 6QA) and The Dragon Hotel (Market Square, SY15 6PA).

The Town Hall has access for visitors with restricted mobility, including a disabled toilet and a stairlift to reach the Festival sessions on the upper floor. Please leave plenty of time before your session’s start time to use the stairlift and find a seat. Our volunteers will be on hand to offer assistance.

Montgomery Activity Centre is a fully accessible venue with parking, ramp access and disabled toilet facilities.

About Montgomery

The historic town of Montgomery lies in the Welsh Marches, ideally placed for visitors from all directions.

As well as the main Festival and Monty Mini Fest programmes, there will plenty to see and do over the weekend in and around Montgomery. For details of the weekend’s community events and the food and drink available in town, click here

For more information about local accommodation and the many other things Montgomery and Montgomeryshire have to offer, take a look at the Visit Montgomery and Visit Mid Wales websites.

Bookshops

Visitors to Monty Lit Fest have two local booksellers to choose from:

Booka Bookshop runs a pop-up bookshop with author signings at Montgomery Town Hall during the event.

Montgomery is also home to The Montgomery Bookshop on Arthur Street, staunch supporters of the Festival in the local community.
