We’re delighted to announce that Monty Lit Fest is back – and with a bang!
We’ll be running our Summer 2022 Festival over the weekend of 10th-12th June 2022 in the historical town of Montgomery. The Festival will be based at Montgomery Town Hall on Broad Street, but we’ll also be running sessions in a range of other local venues too.
We always try to have something for everyone, and this year is no exception.
So, whether fiction is your bag, or you prefer non-fiction; whether you’re into poetry or would like to exercise your grey matter at our night quiz; if you’d like a pint at our late lounge or to join us for a literary cricket tea – we’ve got you covered.
Take a look at our programme pages to start planning your weekend. Tickets go on sale on 4th April.
We look forward to welcoming you to our weekend of culture and conversation.

This sounds very exciting. I am a local girl – My debut novel – On The Border, published by Cambria Publishing Wales in August last year, is set in Montgomery and has been entered for Welsh Book of The Year 2022. I was born and grew up on Stalloe Farm – on the border so to speak – and my life there inspired me to write my story. Montgomery people have already bought copies and enjoyed it. I am in touch with Monty memories on face book and Montgomeryshire societies world wide have also bought copies of my novel… I look forward to the festival. Warm regards Sheila Hawdon – author name – Cari Davies.
Great to hear from you. I hope you can join us for the Festival this year, and that we might meet there. Good luck with the book; it sounds fascinating.
