Clare Mackintosh defines what it means to be a best-selling crime and thriller writer.  

Since her first book, I Let You Go, was published to critical acclaim, she has garnered multiple awards and sold more than two million copies of her books around the world. 

Now based in North Wales, Clare will talk about her writing life, including the first two book in her latest crime series set on the border between England and Wales and featuring Welsh detective DC Ffion Morgan: The Last Party and A Game of Lies

Translated into forty languages, her books have sold more than two million copies worldwide, have been New York Times and international bestsellers and have spent a combined total of 64 weeks in the Sunday Times bestseller chart. After twelve years in the police force, Clare left to work as a freelance journalist and social media consultant in 2011 and is the founder of the Chipping Norton Literary Festival.
