Venues and accessibility

The Festival is centred around Montgomery Town Hall (Broad Street, SY15 6PH; https://www.montgomerytownhall.uk/), together with a range of other venues throughout the town, including Montgomery Activity Centre (Church Bank, SY15 6QA) and The Dragon Hotel (Market Square, SY15 6PA).

The Town Hall has access for visitors with restricted mobility, including a disabled toilet and a stairlift to reach the Festival sessions on the upper floor. Please leave plenty of time before your session’s start time to use the stairlift and find a seat. Our volunteers will be on hand to offer assistance.

Montgomery Activity Centre is a fully accessible venue with parking, ramp access and disabled toilet facilities.

Make a day or weekend of it

As well as the main Festival and Monty Mini Fest, there’ll be so much to see and do in Montgomery that you’re sure to want to make a day or weekend of it.

Browse our art exhibition, have a go yourself at our art workshops and listen to some street music. Treat yourself from an array of tasty treats on offer throughout the town. Take a walk up to our historic medieval castle; visit The Robber’s Grave in St Nicholas Church’s churchyard or just soak up the local atmosphere.

Bookshops

Visitors to Monty Lit Fest have two local booksellers to choose from:

Montgomery is also home to The Montgomery Bookshop on Arthur Street, staunch supporters of the Festival in the local community.
