Carwyn Graves is already a firm Monty Lit Fest favourite for his much-loved books Welsh Food Stories<\/em> and Tir<\/em>. Now he wants us to reimagine our relationship with the natural world through the Welsh poetic tradition.<\/p>

Carwyn will be with us to explore how this tradition offers a different view of nature and our place in the world. He wants us to hear the voices of people down the centuries who have, through poetry, expressed a different way of connecting with the living world around us.<\/p>

From the cuckoo\u2019s song to the ecological sensibilities of medieval poems and the generosity of the water that drives the water wheel, this is a new way to see the natural world, one that promises a fascinating new perspective on biodiversity loss and climate grief.<\/p>

Carwyn Graves<\/strong> is a Welsh author, public\u00a0speaker\u00a0and gardener. He is\u00a0the\u00a0author of the bestselling\u00a0Apples of Wales<\/em>\u00a0(2018),\u00a0Welsh Food Stories<\/em>\u00a0(2022),\u00a0Tir: The Story of the Welsh Landscape<\/em>\u00a0(2024),\u00a0which was shortlisted for Wales Non-Fiction Book of the Year, and 2026\u2019s Cynefin: Wisdom from a Thousand Years of Welsh Nature Poetry <\/em>. He is\u00a0a founding trustee of the Welsh charity\u00a0Cegin\u00a0y\u00a0Bobl\u00a0(The People\u2019s Kitchen).<\/p>

Sioned Wiliam<\/strong>\u00a0comes from Barry. She is the author of the novels,\u00a0Dal i Fynd<\/em>,\u00a0Chwynnu,\u00a0Cicio\u2019r Bar, Y Gwyliau<\/em> and 60-Rhywbeth<\/em>.\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0Sioned began her television and radio career at the BBC, before becoming an independent producer. Her credits include\u00a0Tonight with Jonathan Ross, Game On, Big Train and Yonderland<\/em>. She also produced iDot\u00a0<\/em>and exec produced\u00a0Rhestr Nadolig Wil <\/em>for Boom\/S4C.\u00a0She has been nominated for a Bafta award three times and has won a British Comedy Award and a Bronze Rose at Montreux.\u00a0She was also a Commissioning Editor for ITV and BBC Radio 4 and interim CEO of S4C.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
