It\u2019s All In A Poem<\/em><\/strong> art exhibition
<\/b>Saturday 10<\/span>th<\/sup> June, 10.00am \u2013 4.00pm

<\/span><\/em>The Montgomery Institute, Arthur Street<\/em>
<\/span>Following the success of last year\u2019s book-themed art exhibition, Jo Gresty will once again be curating an arts and crafts exhibition over the Festival weekend, this time featuring works based on poems. Over 25 artists will be represented.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Children\u2019s storytime
<\/b><\/span>Saturday 10<\/span>th<\/sup> and Sunday 11<\/span>th<\/sup> June, 11.00am \u2013 1.00pm, rolling programme for different age groups
<\/span><\/em>Montgomery Library, Arthur Street<\/em>
<\/span>Local storyteller, Caryl Davies, will be entertaining younger Festival goers with a programme of stories and songs for young children of all ages. Full programme details <\/span>here<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>

Janos Arany’s The Bards of Wales
<\/b>Saturday 10<\/span>th<\/sup> June, 12.30pm
<\/span>Montgomery Community Garden, Arthur Street (The Montgomery Institute if wet)
<\/span><\/em>Juliet Humphreys will perform a dramatised recitation of Janos Arany’s The Bards of Wales<\/em>, the allegorical poem of the Hungarian National Poet at the time of the Austro-Hungarian empire. The poem is set in Montgomery Castle and is still learnt by every school child in Hungary to this very day.<\/p>

<\/em><\/strong>Pop-ups across the weekend<\/em>
<\/em>Arthur Street\u00a0<\/em>
<\/em><\/strong>Hear from members of Monty Folk; Cor Trefaldwyn; the harpist, Stacey Blythe\u00a0 and the Presteigne Choir.<\/p>

<\/b>As well as Montgomery\u2019s usual eateries – more below –\u00a0 visitors to the Festival will also be able to sample some extra food and drink delights.<\/span><\/p>

Festival coffee and cake

<\/span>Back by popular demand, coffee, tea and home-made cake at the main Festival venue courtesy of three Montgomery community groups raising funds for the Montgomery Show, Street Fair and Churchyard Maintenance.<\/span><\/p>

<\/em>SHED38 will be offering a pop-up bistro with food influenced by literature and its characters \u2013 everyone from Willy Wonka to Mr Darcy.\u00a0Light meals, drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and homemade savoury snacks.<\/p>

Castle Kitchen tapas bar<\/em>
<\/strong>Friday 9th June, from 6.30pm<\/em>
Castle Kitchen, 8 Broad Street
<\/em>Alice, Sarah and the team will be hosting the Castle Kitchen Tapas Bar on the Friday evening, with the bar also open to all for drinks. Enjoy delicious food all freshly prepared and baked on the premises in the gorgeous courtyard garden or indoors. Space is limited so book now on 01686 668795 (or at the caf\u00e9 itself).
