Monty Lit Fest Late Lounge is back!<\/p>

This year, Rhys Mwyn will be joined by two authors who have plenty of rock and pop stories to share.\u00a0<\/p>

Jeff Collins, author of\u00a0Rock Legends at Rockfield<\/em>, will give us a backstage pass to the world-famous Rockfield Recording Studios in Monmouth. Find out what happened when Black Sabbath turned up; when Queen recorded Bohemian Rhapsody and how Oasis and The Stone Roses continued the tradition of recording studio hellraising.\u00a0<\/p>

And Marcus Berkmann, author of\u00a0Berkmann’s Pop Miscellany<\/em>,\u00a0will explain just why his book is sub-titled “Sex, Drugs and Cars in Swimming Pools”.\u00a0<\/p>

Jeff Collins<\/strong> is a presenter on Hard Rock Hell Radio and presented live television reports for Soccer Saturday on Sky Sports News from 2006-2020. He was formerly a journalist and has worked for LBC, Sky News, ITN, Classic FM and BBC Wales among other organisations. He is also the author of Stuart Cable: From Cwmaman to the Stereophonics and Beyond<\/em> (University of Wales Press, 2009).\u00a0 @jeffsrockshow<\/p>

Marcus Berkmann<\/strong> is the author of, among other books, Berkmann\u2019s Pop Miscellany <\/em>and Berkmann\u2019s Cricketing Miscellany<\/em>. He is a regular contributor to Private Eye, Saga Magazine and the Daily Mail (where he reviews books), and wrote a pop column for The Spectator before finally running out of ideas in 2014. He has written columns for the Independent magazine, TV reviews for the Daily Mail and sports columns for Punch, the Independent on Sunday and the Daily Express. He also writes and produces fiendish quizzes, and is a regular on BBC Radio 4’s Round Britain Quiz.<\/p>

Rhys Mwyn<\/strong> is a musician, archaeologist, writer and broadcaster. As a music manager, agent, publicist, Record Label and promoter, he has worked with acts as varied as Catatonia, The Rich Kids, Viv Albertine (The Slits), Y Cyrff and Datblygu. He previously played bass guitar in the Welsh Punk band, Anhrefn and established the record label Recordiau Anhrefn. Rhys is a regular contributor to Yr Herald Gymraeg and Llafar Gwlad,\u00a0 has published his autobiography Cam i\u2019r Tywyllch<\/em> (Y Lolfa) and written three Welsh language books on Welsh Archaeology (Carreg Gwalch). Montgomeryshire born, he now lives in Caernarfon.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
